Below students are enjoying their first FUN FRIDAY activity, Movie Day, of the 2015-2016 school year. Students practice their money/math skills by purchasing movie tickets & snacks using Carleton bucks that they earn throughout the week by being the best they can be.

Winter Olympics with Mentors- Friday, February 7th, 2014
Students had lunch in one of the four MiCi classrooms with their mentors. Afterwards, student teams picked or created a country name and flag to compete in the winter olympic events at Grissom. Students worked together to make a team flag that they flew upon entering the gym. Students then competed in a paper toss game, simulating events that take place in the actual winter olympics.

Movie Reward- Friday, February 7th, 2014
As part of our token economy to promote positive behavior students were allowed the opportunity to use some of their Grissom dollars to attend a movie of their choice (four options were offered). Students practiced money math skills by counting and spending the money they have earned on refreshments and an afternoon movie ticket.

Shirt Design- Januray 17th, 2014
Students worked with their mentors to design shirts for this year's mentoring program using www.customink.com. All the submitted designs can be seen at the link above, where students and mentors can vote on their favorite. The chosen design will eventually be purchased for all students, mentors, and staff within the program.
